I do my gradings on the main monitor (10-bit, 4k but only 300cd) and I suspect this would be displayed correctly on an external HDR-monitor.Ĭhecking "HDR mode" in the node seems to fix it, but I'm not sure if this is right.ĭid anyone ever find out what is the problem here? The same thing occurs for me, and although the overexposure is slightly reduced when I check HDR mode, it does not disappear. You can see in the histogram, after picking the white point, everything is inside the spectrum, but the viewer overexposes and clips it.
I believe it has to do with the fact that it is a HDR clip. I would love to hear from someone who knows what exactly goes wrong at this step. but in the Color tutorial, page 279, step 5, it asks to use the "Pick White Point" above "Gain" but not matter where in the picture I click it overexposes it. Still, that was not what was asked to do and I'd like to know why using the white point overexposes everything. I'd be grateful if someone can help me with the 3rd issue.ĮDIT: I was able to "fix" the 3rd issue by using the "White Balance" dropper tool instead of the white point. I prefer the prior layout in which Fairlight and Fusion comes after Edit and Color is the last one. I'm currently finishing the Beginner's Guide and the only complaints I have:ġ) Cut page tutorial no longer encompasses effects.Ģ) Color tutorial was reallocated and it now comes up immediately after the Edit tutorial.
