If the legs are too short for you they will never be comfortable. Now for the hooked type legs I suggest you try those on next time you are in the store. For the other strengths, I'm a pretty good guesser. I use a 1.5+ so if your the same, easy cheesy. Just tell me the strength you would like and do my best to pick out the proper strength for you. I am happy to sell the straight leg types via the web site. Strength of the lenses start at "almost clear glass" and go to "OMG you must be blind." They are all good solid glasses and if not abused will last you a lifetime. They are the single screw type of frames. They are all "readers." The lenses CAN NOT be changed. Straight legs and the type that hook over the ears. I currently have a large supply of original eyeglasses.
